01
Applying with Kind Hearts
What to expect when starting your recruitment journey with Kind Hearts.
Complete our online Candidate Screening Application. We’ll ask about your experience, qualifications, preferred role, availability, work authorisation and relevant compliance information. You do not need to upload a CV during the initial structured screening stage.
We focus on full-time permanent healthcare positions, including Healthcare Assistants, Staff Nurses, Clinical Nurse Managers, Assistant Directors of Nursing and Directors of Nursing. Available roles depend on current employer requirements.
No. Applying allows us to review your profile and consider you for suitable opportunities. Progression depends on your qualifications, experience, work authorisation, professional registration, employer requirements and available vacancies.
We’ll review your screening information and, where appropriate, contact you about the next steps. These may include additional screening, requesting supporting documents, discussing suitable opportunities or arranging an employer interview.
Every candidate journey is different. Candidates who already meet the relevant professional, employment and compliance requirements may progress more quickly. International candidates requiring professional registration, an employment permit or other regulatory steps may take longer.
02
Fees & Payments
Clear information about candidate fees, regulatory costs and potential employer reimbursement.
No. Kind Hearts does not charge candidates recruitment or placement fees. Our recruitment support—from initial screening through interview preparation and permanent placement—is provided without a candidate recruitment or placement fee.
No. Our recruitment service is free to candidates, but independent third-party costs may apply. These can include professional registration, regulatory, immigration, travel or relocation-related costs depending on your individual circumstances.
No. NMBI fees are separate from Kind Hearts recruitment services and relate to your own professional registration process. Current fees should always be confirmed directly with NMBI because they may change.
Potentially. Some employers may offer reimbursement or financial assistance with certain professional registration costs. This depends on the individual employer and employment offer and is not guaranteed by Kind Hearts.
03
NMBI & Qualifications
Information for nurses, Healthcare Assistants and internationally qualified professionals.
To practise as a nurse or midwife in Ireland, you must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland in the appropriate division. Internationally qualified nurses generally need to complete NMBI’s qualification-recognition and registration process.
Yes. You can tell us your current NMBI status during screening, including whether you have an active registration, are currently applying or have received an NMBI decision. Progression depends on the particular role, employer requirements and your circumstances.
Following assessment of an internationally qualified nurse’s application, NMBI provides an outcome. Depending on the circumstances, this may include recognition, a request for further information, a compensation measure or another decision.
No. NMBI is responsible for professional registration and qualification-recognition decisions. Kind Hearts can provide recruitment-related guidance, but we cannot issue or guarantee NMBI registration.
For current information about nursing registration in Ireland, candidates should review the official Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) guidance and confirm the requirements that apply to their circumstances.
Yes. We recruit Healthcare Assistants for suitable permanent opportunities. During screening, we’ll ask about your healthcare qualifications, including QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support or relevant or equivalent qualifications, along with your care experience.
Yes. You can tell us that your qualification is currently in progress. Eligibility for a particular vacancy will depend on the employer’s requirements and the qualifications required for that position.
04
International Candidates & Relocation
Guidance for internationally trained healthcare professionals considering opportunities in Ireland.
We may consider internationally trained healthcare professionals for suitable permanent opportunities. Eligibility depends on factors including qualifications, professional registration, work authorisation, immigration requirements and employer needs.
No. Sponsorship depends on the role, employer, candidate circumstances and applicable Irish employment-permit and immigration requirements. Where sponsorship is available for a specific opportunity, we’ll explain the relevant arrangements.
Some employers may offer relocation packages that include benefits such as flights or initial accommodation. Packages vary by employer and vacancy and should not be assumed to apply to every opportunity.
Potentially. Some employers may provide financial support for an aptitude test, adaptation placement or related professional-registration costs. Any support offered depends on the individual employer and employment offer.
Where applicable, we’ll help you understand the recruitment process, employer requirements and relocation support associated with a specific opportunity. Immigration, professional-registration and regulatory decisions remain with the relevant authorities.
05
Screening, Documents & Compliance
How we handle candidate screening, supporting documents and professional information.
Depending on your profession and stage of recruitment, we may review information relating to your qualifications, professional registration, work authorisation, healthcare experience, employment history, references and relevant compliance requirements.
Our initial application uses structured screening to understand your circumstances before collecting additional documentation. If your application progresses, we’ll explain which documents are required and why.
Where required for recruitment or placement, relevant qualifications, professional registration and supporting information may be verified. For registered nurses, NMBI registration information may also be checked against the official register.
Under the National Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable Persons) Acts 2012 to 2016, Garda Vetting is a legal requirement for all healthcare professionals working in Ireland. Because nurses and healthcare assistants work directly with patients and vulnerable adults, clearance must be fully completed before you can start work. Note for Overseas Applicants: If you have lived outside Ireland for six consecutive months or more after the age of 16, you will also need to provide an official Police Clearance Certificate from those countries to satisfy Irish healthcare compliance standards.
Yes. Standard Irish healthcare recruitment regulations and HSE compliance guidelines require a minimum of two professional references from your recent supervisors or line managers. At Kind Hearts International Care Solutions Ltd., we will let you know exactly what reference format is required for your specific role and guide you on when to submit them during your application process.
We process personal information for recruitment and related purposes in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection requirements. We aim to collect only the information reasonably required for the relevant stage of recruitment.
06
During Your Recruitment Journey
What candidates can expect while progressing through recruitment.
Where appropriate, we’ll provide recruitment-related guidance to help you understand the opportunity, employer and interview process. The final recruitment decision remains with the employer.
Relevant information about a particular opportunity will be communicated during the recruitment process. You should carefully review your formal employment offer and contract before accepting a position.
Not being selected for one opportunity doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t be suitable for another. Subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable retention arrangements, we may consider your profile for other suitable opportunities.
Please let us know if important information changes, including your availability, contact details, NMBI status, qualifications, work authorisation or preferred location. Keeping your information current helps us consider you for appropriate opportunities.
